FAQs - Visas - University Specific / Admissions Exam Enquiries - Contact Advising Team
We're delighted you're interested in US study. As part of the Education USA network of over 450 advising centres worldwide, our advising team is the UK's primary source of information on educational exchange opportunities in the US.
We will be happy to assist with your questions. However, with over 8,700 UK students going to the US each year and a team of three advisors, we encourage you to first take advantage of the extensive advising information in the Study in the US and FAQs sections of this website.
For answers to commonly-asked questions, please read the undergraduate study FAQs, postgraduate study FAQs and work and volunteer FAQs.
Please note our staff is not trained to handle specific enquiries related to visas in the US. General information is included on the following pages: undergraduate study - visas, postgraduate study - visas, school study - visas and on appropriate pages in the short-term study and work and volunteer opportunities sections.
For specific enquiries, information is available on the US Embassy in London website. Alternatively you may call the US Embassy at 09042 450100 (Operator Assisted £1.20/minute) between the hours of 8 am - 8 pm Monday - Friday, and 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday.
Additionally, most specific questions about tuition and fees, application deadlines and application requirements can be answered by visiting the US University’s admissions or financial aid webpages. Most questions about testing sites, dates and registering for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions exams should be directed to the appropriate testing board, such as the College Board (for SAT), ACT, ETS (GRE and TOEFL), IELTS, LSAC (for LSAT) and/or GMAC (for GMAT).
For further enquiries, please feel free to contact our advising team. You can reach us via phone 0901 488 0162 (Mondays 1:30 - 5 pm and Thursdays 1:30 - 5 pm, 15p per minute); via email – education@fulbright.co.uk; or in-person during the Resource Library opening hours or at events.
If you need additional assistance as you apply for US study beyond what our staff are able to provide, you may wish to consider contacting one of the organisations on our Resources page. These test tutors and educational consultants offer a higher level of personalised, additional support and services to help you prepare for admission exams and complete a competitive application.
