The recommended time scale assumes that you will start at a US university in August or September. If you are planning to start in January, the process can be significantly shortened, as application deadlines are much closer to enrolment dates.

Awards for Postgraduate Study
A list of organisations that offer awards for postgraduate study and/or research in the US, primarily for UK citizens. If you are not a UK citizen, please contact your home country's Fulbright office or US Educational Advisory Center for a list of awards for your nationality. Please also visit the US Educational Advisory Service's reference library, which has funding directories that list awards for all nationalities.
