'The opportunity to spend six weeks in the U.S. as part of the European Student programme was a life changing experience. During the programme we were actively encouraged to discover and involve ourselves in as many aspects of U.S. life as possible, leading to us enhancing our leadership skills (in particular our communication and presentation skills) as well as developing our perceptions of cultures from around the world and equally important, gaining an insight into how other cultures view us.

From this experience we have felt motivated to help bring about positive change and to encourage others to expand their horizons. Furthermore, the programme helped to dispel many common misconceptions about the U.S. and consequently has inspired some of us to seek internships and perhaps employment within the U.S.'
