Studying
in the UK
The Educational Advisory Service is currently working to
put together comprehensive information for US students interested
in studying in the UK. We hope to be able to expand our
resources into the field of UK study, and have recently
produced a handout detailing awards
available to US students for postgraduate study in the UK
(pdf).
For information on the Andrew W. Mellon Research Studentship
in American History (a four-year doctoral research studentship
funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the University
of Oxford) please go to http://www.fulbright.co.uk/eas/studyuk/mellon.htm
or visit Oxford University's History Department website
For undergraduate study information UCAS (the Universities
and Colleges Admissions Service) details all courses available,
and has specific information relating to international students.
Please visit www.ucas.co.uk
for further details and course listings.
EAS is able to give advice relating to the accreditation
status of all UK universities that fall within the Association
of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Alternatively, students
can visit www.acu.ac.uk
for further information.
Likewise, the British Council at www.britcoun.org
is also a useful source of information regarding funding
to study in the UK.
