Interviews
General Information
• Within 10 weeks of receipt of your application,
we will send you a letter to let you know if you have
been short listed and your application passed to the
selection committee.
• Approximately two weeks before the interviews
we will send you a letter informing you whether you
are invited to interview.
•
All interviews are held at Fulbright House in London.
There are no exceptions and we do not conduct telephone
interviews with candidates living abroad. Domestic
economy-class travel from outside London is reimbursed
by the Fulbright Commission. Candidates coming
from abroad must discuss their travel arrangements
with the Awards Director before booking. Please note
that reimbursement for travel from abroad may only
be reimbursed by the Fulbright Commission at the discretion
of the Awards Director and in no instance shall reimbursement
exceed £150.
•
The selection committees are comprised of people drawn
from the following list: representatives from a relevant
professional field, senior academics, senior US Embassy
representatives, Fulbright alumni and senior Fulbright
House staff.
•
In most cases, candidates will be notified within
10 days of the outcome of their interview. They will
fall into one of three categories:

Foreign Scholarship Board (FSB) in the US, which
will be sought on your behalf by the Fulbright Commission.
ii) gain a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree;
iii) are offered a place at one of the US universities
listed on your application form.
Reserve - reserve candidates are
held on a list and will be told by the end of May
whether or not they will be offered an award.

Commission is unable to offer an award.
PLEASE
NOTE: The Fulbright Commission is unable to comment
