The Fulbright Advisory Service provides information on and promotes US-UK exchange.

As part of the Education USA network of over 450 advising centres worldwide, our advisors are the UK's official source of information on educational exchange opportunities in the US. We aim to provide accurate, unbiased information about all accredited US higher education institutions. Information about our location and advisor contact information and hours can be found on other pages of this website.

Information for UK residents and UK Fulbright Applicants:

To help UK residents apply for study in the US, the Fulbright Advisory Service maintains a comprehensive website on study in the US. Students should start here.

We also how two annual study in the US events, our USA College Day undergraduate study fair in late September and our USA Grad School Day workshop held in March. We also offer seminars on undergraduate and postgraduate study throughout the year.

In addition to our Resource Library located in central London, students outside the Greater London area may access books on US study locally through one of our 12 regional information centres or during our outreach events. Students, parents and advisors with questions beyond what is covered on the website can also contact an advisor for more information.

The Fulbright Advisory Service also provides information and training opportunities for UK careers advisors and teachers, as well as information for parents of prospective UK students and for US universities.

Fulbright Awards applicants are highly encouraged to access the information, events and services provided by the Fulbright Advisory Service. In addition to the comprehensive information on awards categories and application procedures provided in the Fulbright Awards pages of this website, general information about the Awards will be provided in postgraduate study seminars, postgraduate outreach events and USA Grad School Day. The postgraduate study in the US section of this website also contains information on funding options, as well as choosing a degree programme and preparing a personal statement, transcript and references which will be part of your awards and US university applications. Please note the Resource Library includes postgraduate programme directories to help you choose programmes and publications on writing personal statements as well.

To help US residents apply for study in the UK, the Fulbright Advisory Service maintains a section of this website on study in the UK with information on undergraduate, graduate, short-term and K-12 study.

The Fulbright Awards section of this website includes comprehensive information on Awards categories and application procedures. Fulbright Awards applicants also are encouraged to access the information in the graduate study in the US section as they research universities, draft their applications and research funding opportunities.

Resources for US universities on the UK educational system, recruitment opportunities and credential evaluation are available as well.
