Pam is a professor and senior researcher at the University of Hawaii. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1973 and received her Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from the University of California at Berkeley in 1975. After practicing as a social worker for 12 years, she received her Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, graduating with distinction in 1991. Her areas of research interest have been in aging with an emphasis on the development of community based methods of long term care service delivery.
