Nikolaos Milonopoulos

Fulbright Project: Study the prospects for a common E.U. counter-proliferation policy, King’s College London

Niko Milonopoulos, of Los Angeles, California, graduated from Stanford University in 2009, receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with Honors in International Security Studies. While at Stanford, Niko focused his academic studies on international security and nuclear
nonproliferation policy. Since 2006, Niko served as a research assistant to Siegfried Hecker, Co-director of Stanford’s Center for International Security and Cooperation and former director of Los Alamos National Laboratory. In 2007, Niko worked for the U.S. Congress on the staff of the U.S. House of Representatives National Security and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee. In 1998, along with his twin brother Theo, Niko co-founded Vox Populi, an organization dedicated to combating gun violence. Through his community activism, Niko has assisted in designing legislation that has been implemented at the local, state, federal, and international level. As a Fulbright Scholar, Niko will study the prospects for a common E.U. counter-proliferation policy at King’s College London.
