Nick Bonomini
Police Research Fellowships, 2009-10

Nick is a Detective Sergeant with the Metropolitan Police in London. He has spent the last 7 years with the Specialist Crime Directorate at New Scotland Yard on Operation Trident, a unit responsible for the investigation of shootings within London’s black communities, through which he has received several commendations. He holds degrees in both law and criminal justice studies, and is about to complete a masters in Criminology & Criminal Psychology. Nick’s Fulbright Police Research Fellowship will examine US police strategies for investigating and preventing gangrelated shootings, focussing in particular on the Chicago Police Department, where he will seek to draw upon their experience to further enhance UK policing. Nick’s sporting interests include squash, sailing and skiing. He is also a keen musician, playing the piano and saxophone in both jazz and brass bands.
