Fulbright Project: Teach and research issues of sustainable transportation and community change, University of Sheffield

Marc Schlossberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Planning, Public Policy and Management (PPPM) at the University of Oregon and an Associate Director of OTREC, a national transportation research and education center. Professor Schlossberg’s work focuses on sustainable urban design, active transportation, and communitybased participatory mapping. In 2003, Professor Schlossberg was chosen as one of twenty American NextGen Scholars of STELLA (Sustainable Transport in Europe and Links and Liaisons with America). In 2007, he taught sustainable community development on the island of Kefalonia, Greece. In 2008, he was identified as one of the top twenty scholars at the University of Oregon for his work in sustainable transportation. Prior to obtaining his PhD from the University of Michigan in Urban Planning, Professor Schlossberg was a United States Peace Corps in Fiji. As a Fulbright Scholar, Professor Schlossberg will teach and research around issues of sustainable transportation and community change at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
