Fulbright Project: Summer Institute for Outstanding European Students in Education Studies
Charlotte is currently studying for a B’Ed in Primary Education at Strathclyde Univeristy Glasgow where she is finishing her second year. Outside of school, she enjoys drama, lifeguarding and teaching swimming to younger children. Charlotte is greatly looking forward to participating in the Fulbright Summer Institute for Education Studies as she hopes to gain firsthand experience of the impact of diverse cultures on the education system, political environment and history of the United States with the resulting systems developed to take account of these. She is also looking forward to meeting other professionals and students with the same interest in education as herself.
On a professional level, Charlotte would like to be a confident, competent, pro-active and effective teacher. She would like to encourage and motivate children to learn but also to want to learn. She hopes to create a positive classroom ethos where children can escape into a new world where they can learn about exciting new cultures, subjects and people.
