Ben received a Master’s degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge where he was also involved in college sports, drama and student politics. Elected to be President of Cambridge University Students’ Union in 2003, Ben spent his sabbatical year running major campaigns on fees and rents, supporting student services, and leading on Union development. In 2004, Ben joined Lloyds TSB Bank where he held a series of management positions with a focus on innovation, strategy and new ventures. For the last18 months, Ben has been living and working in Mumbai as Head of Business Development for Lloyds in India. Ben is married to Suzy; in his spare time he enjoys travelling, sailing and actively engaging in social entrepreneurship: advising and mentoring non-profit organisations to build their capacity and sustainability.
