Alexander Hudson
All-disciplines Postgraduate Awards, 2009-10

Fulbright Project: M.Sc. in Theoretical Chemistry, University of Oxford

Alexander Hudson grew up in Vancouver, WA, and studied Applied Physics at Caltech, where he won a prestigious Upper Class Merit Award for his academic excellence. During his time at Caltech he did research in DNA programming and was a member of the intercollegiate fencing team. Alex led the council charged with upholding Caltech’s celebrated Honor Code, and also spearheaded efforts to evaluate and improve student commitment to the Honor Code. As a Fulbright scholar, Alex will pursue a M.Sc. in Theoretical Chemistry at Oxford University before
beginning his Ph.D. studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
