USA College Day Announced

With increasing competition for UK university places, and the so called ‘Obama effect’, many British students are now exploring the possibility of studying in the US.

During the 2007-08 academic year, more than 8,300 students from the UK pursued study in the US. Assisting over 5,000 students, parents and advisors with enquiries about educational and exchange opportunities in the US this year, the Fulbright Advisory Service is well aware of this increasing interest and is pleased to announce its 32nd annual USA College Day. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, 3 October at the Grand Connaught Rooms, 61-65 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5DA from 10 am – 3 pm.

The largest fair of its kind in Europe, College Day 2008 attracted nearly 3,000 UK and international visitors. This year’s event promises to be just as successful.  With over 100 universities and educational service providers represented, College Day 2009 will provide a unique opportunity for prospective students to learn about the American university system from admissions officers and alumni. Amongst the exhibitors are Ivy League universities, liberal arts colleges, state universities and American universities based in Europe. Any student considering studying in the US is strongly encouraged to attend.

To attend College Day free of change, students must register online (Attendees not holding a registration ticket will be charged a fee of £5 on the door.)
