Call for Applications for Study in the UK in 2010-11

Applications for Fulbright Awards to study, research and/or lecture in the UK during academic year 2010-11 are now available.

This year’s competition includes long-standing award categories such as the Alistair Cooke Award in Journalism and the traditional all-disciplines Postgraduate Awards for postgraduate study, along with exciting new opportunities for scholars and fellows.

We are very pleased to announce a number of new Postgraduate Awards this year, including:

Additional opportunities for postdoctoral research and/or lecturing are also available:

But it is not only a generous grant that makes the Fulbright experience special. Whether studying as a postgraduate student or coming to the UK to lecture, conduct research or gain professional experience, Fulbright gives assistance every step of the way.

As a US Fulbright scholar, your Fulbright year in the UK will be full of opportunities and access to organisations. Through cultural events and activities throughout the year, our scholars get a varied and exciting view of the UK and all that it has to offer.

An award from Fulbright is more than just a grant. When I ask our alumni about what they valued most from their Fulbright experience, across the board they say it was the people they met. That is the real purpose of this programme - mutual exchange and mutual understanding between people. -Michael Scott Kline, Awards Director
