More Fulbright Awards for 2009/10

The US-UK Fulbright Commission has announced a further increase in the number of its prestigious awards for the coming academic year. Now in its 61st year, this competitive award scheme will be sending outstanding men and women both ways across the Atlantic to study, lecture and/or research at centres of excellence in the US and the UK.

Fulbright Awards Director Michael Scott Kline welcomed the increase in the number of participants from approximately 50 last year to 90 this year. He said:

‘Given the current economic climate we’re absolutely thrilled to be offering an even greater number of opportunities this year for British and American scholars to undertake an educational and cultural exchange through the Fulbright Programme.’
