Internships

The US-UK Fulbright Commission offers unpaid internships to current students or recent graduates. Internships at the Commission offer a unique opportunity for individuals interested in international education to learn about the field, gain practical working experience, learn about the US and UK educational systems and take responsibility for challenging projects. Interns are often at the Commission join a small, dynamic team in a busy, but highly-rewarding environment.

Internships can be arranged through partnerships with US universities or internship companies or by the applicant individually. Organisations interested in working with the Commission on internship placements may find out more information by emailing education@fulbright.co.uk

Individual applicant may express their interest in completing an internship by emailing a CV and covering letter to: education@fulbright.co.uk The covering letter should describe your dates and hours of availability, details of your visa status and legal right to work in the UK, previous experience, overseas work and study experience and knowledge of the US/UK educational systems. Internship applications will be kept on file, and qualified applicants will be invited for an interview when positions are available.


Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in assisting with the Fulbright Commission’s efforts to promote US-UK educational exchange and the Fulbright Awards? If so, you may register your volunteer interest with the Commission, and a member of staff will contact you when an appropriate opportunity arises. Past volunteers include: current Fulbright scholars and alumni, US study abroad students in the UK, US citizens living in the UK, returning UK students who have studied in the US and more.

For 2010-11, volunteer opportunities include assisting with USA College Day, USA Grad School Day, outreach events and at the Fulbright Commission. To register your interest in volunteering, please complete this form. A member of staff will contact you when an appropriate opportunity arises.
